During that time, people have used many names to describe my work; an information developer, or a content designer — even a technical writer — but I prefer to call myself a storyteller.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve created many stories. I’ve written stories for websites, blogs, and social media, made educational and promotional videos, designed training courses, and developed technical documentation and other forms of user assistance.
I’ve also worked as a content strategist, editor, and mentor, including facilitating workshops for other writers to help them become better reviewers and editors and improve the tone and style of their writing.
Before corporate life, my career focused more on the community sector, including working for the Tasmanian Council Of Social Service, and the NSW Board Of Community Education. Plus I have three years logistical experience at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games where I served as the computer systems manager for the Olympic Security Command Centre.
In my spare time I enjoy writing songs, composing music, writing stories, and playing with my cats.
